Hi everyone, it's Anastasia. In today's video, I want to walk you through the Mobile Carnival Museum. It's located in South Alabama, and this place is all about Mardi Gras.

The museum has several levels. On the very bottom one, there are some big decorations that look like part of the cars that drive on the streets during the parades, also some really creative and big statues. It's pretty cool.

On all the remaining top levels of the museum, there are a lot of galleries and separate exhibits that feature beautiful Mardi Gras attire — dresses, gowns, suits, accessories, jewelry. Everything is shiny, sparkly, has a lot of beads or embroidery and rhinestones. It looks like you come to the Magic Kingdom where everything is made for kings and queens.

There are some household servingware with mirrored plates and silver-plated cups. I can tell you the gowns are masterpieces — I've never seen anything that beautiful, that detailed, with all kinds of different scenes, animals, and characters. It's just amazing. You can only think of how much hard work it takes to make all these beautiful gowns.

The clothing in the museum is not only for adults but also for kids. There was one room that impressed me the most, where all of the gowns were under the glass, and it was so interesting to look through all of the little details and every rhinestone. I left speechless when I visited that place.

The hallways of the museum also featured photographs and newspapers about the history of the Mardi Gras and about the way Alabama State celebrates it. Interestingly enough, many of the dresses are here not only for decoration purposes but were actually worn at the ball or during the parade, and there are plenty of pictures where real people actually wear these beautiful masterpieces on the streets.

If you're ever going to be visiting South Alabama, and especially during the Mardi Gras season which is from January till March, I definitely recommend you to visit this museum because I believe it's going to impress everyone who will see all this beauty.

I'm going to leave all the links in the description for you to check it out.
