Staying in this hotel was more like visiting a Salvador Dali museum — but the one with a hot tub in there.

Hi everyone, it’s Anastasia. Today I want to show you Hotel President in the city of Figueres, not so far from Barcelona. This is the hometown of the famous surrealist artist Salvador Dali.

Over a million people annually visit Figueres to see the world’s most extensive collection of art in the Dali Theatre-Museum, including myself. I’m going to show you the museum in one of the next videos. And today, let’s talk about the place to stay while visiting Figueres.

We got there for only one night and stayed in the Hotel President. The same as everything else in the city, the hotel had some surreal decorations.

For example, in the lobby, there were some beautiful mirrored chairs shaped as human bodies — and it’s so strange to sit on a chair like this! The hotel lobby was also featuring some nice furniture that looked like vintage pieces.

The waiting hall had sofas, tables, and chairs, and on the same floor, there was a breakfast hall. By the way, the cost of breakfast was not included in the price, and you need to pay it separately to be able to come down the next morning and have a nice breakfast.

The food here was really good — there was some traditional paella, sausages, and a big buffet bar with buns and fruits. You can also get a coffee or juice of your choice. The fun thing about breakfast is that you can even get a glass of crisp wine while you’re having coffee.

The only downside, as I noticed, is that the time for the food to be refilled was too long. And if you’re in a hurry, there’s a big chance that you’re going to miss some food because they just didn’t bring it yet.

Going up to the floors, there are a lot of decorations in the hallways and also on the staircases. You can see huge vases and weirdly shaped sculptures made out of old wood.

I really liked the lamps shaped as big fish. The furniture in the hallway seemed to be really vintage and nice, and every floor had almost the same set of decorations matching one another.

And the main thing you can notice is a lot of wall art — different prints and reproductions of Salvador Dali paintings, even some vintage framed commercial posters of the Salvador Dali Museum and events.

While you’re staying at this hotel and walking around the hallways, you can really feel the atmosphere of the city and get inspired to go and visit the museum. And if you’re coming back from the museum, you’re still staying in the same atmosphere.

I can say there are really a lot of art pieces in this hotel. And after walking around the masterpieces in the hallways or after taking the elevator, you finally can get to the room.

While traveling in Spain, I noticed a really cool feature — whenever you enter the door, to turn on every light in the room, you can just insert your card key and everything will light up.

Rooms are really spacious and nice, well lit, and have air conditioning. Our room was not on the top floor — I think it was like the fourth out of six — but the view was really nice. We even saw a sculpture shaped as a spoon on the street. It was pretty interesting.

The beds were comfortable. The lamps on the nightstands were exceptionally useful because there was even a little lamp or light that you can move around while you’re reading or having a rest if you need to see something — it’s really cool.

The room had a big closet, and inside, as usual, you can find a safe with a lock. The doors of the closet were also mirrored so you can see your whole outfit before going out.

And the coolest thing that we had in the room was the hot tub, and it was working! After a long day of walking around the city, it’s the best thing ever you can have, for sure.

Everything was so clean, and the staff was nice and friendly. I really liked staying in this hotel.

I was glad to share with you my experience staying in Hotel President in the city of Figueres, in Spain. And I hope you liked this video — and if you do, subscribe for more. I’ll keep traveling around the world and show you different places on my channel.

Thanks for watching!
